AP Library To Archive Sports News TV
Starting January 2003, Associated Press Television News Library will manage the archive of Sports News Television, a sports news agency, by cataloguing and archiving SNTV's daily output of six sports bulletins as well as material dating back to 1996.

From SNTV's back catalogue, APTN will also make themed clipreels featuring mainstream material like biographical footage of sports people as well as more unexpected fare, from hubcap throwing to wife-carrying and extreme ironing.

APTN and SNTV will set up internal systems to ensure that most material that cannot be licensed will be removed before it reaches the archive stage and the searchable database at aptnlibrary.com. Up to two hours of material are expected to be added each week.
