Dalet News Suite Powers SNN
Six News Now (SNN) has tapped Dalet Digital Media Systems for its DaletPlus News Suite for the station's digital news production and playout system.

The Sarasota, Fla-based 24-hour cable news station will use News Suite to integrate scripting and video editing tools with news automation, rundown management and playout control into a single, centrally managed package.

Everything from source material to finished news packages are instantly viewable on desktops or remotely through secure Web access. The system integrates Panasonic's P2 format for content acquisition, Apple Final Cut Pro workstations for advanced craft editing and the Omneon server for automated or manual news playout. The Dalet Newsroom Automation software controls ingest and playout from two redundant Omneon Media Spectrum servers.
