Irdeto Access Partners with Adtec, Coship To Offer Pay-TV System
Irdeto Access, a subsidiary of Naspers media group, has partnered with Adtec and Coship Electronics to offer a high-quality, end-to-end pay-TV delivery system.

The DVB-compliant system incorporates Adtec's Edje 2100 real-time MPEG-2 distribution encoder and Edje 3000 transport stream multiplexer/data encapsulator, Irdeto Access' M-crypt and Plsys conditional access (CA) systems and Coship's CDVBC5120 digital cable set-top receiver with integrated Irdeto Access smart cards. The Edje 2100 is located at the headend and is used in conjunction with the Edje 3000 to aggregate MPEG-2 transport streams via DVB ASI inputs. The Edje 3000 can translate DigiCypher II services to the DVB standard for use with Coship's set-top box and Irdeto Access' CA systems.
