Ross Video Goes into 'Overdrive' with Avid iNews
Production control system Overdrive 2.0 by Ross Video is now compatible with Avid iNews newsroom production system.

Overdrive integrates with the Synergy SD and MD/X series of production switchers by Iroquois, Ontario-based Ross and now works with iNews, a system that creates, organizes and delivers news broadcasts that offers advanced machine control, and the ability to store CGs and automated ingest of newswires and stories. The integration includes in OverDrive ActiveX plug-in that resides on the iNews desktop. In addition, the MOS interface provides a live link between the iNews rundown to the OverDrive production rundown.

"Today's live news production can use the advanced Avid iNEWS and OverDrive technologies to create a more efficient and consistent news product," said Bob Long, director broadcast third party strategy for Avid.
