Eyeheight Introduces New Switcher
Eyeheight Limited, a video switcher manufacturer based in England, recently announced the eight-input irisOB switcher, which is intended for outside broadcast (OB) standard-definition applications. The irisOB has a separate control panel and electronics frame, with the latter fitting into a single rack unit.

The control panel for the irisOB has mix/wipe T-bar handle, and the switcher has program and preview outs, as well as two aux outputs. The unit can be set for automatic transitions, in addition to manual operation. The irisOB uses a 10-bit processing path to maintain video quality through the unit.
