Gefen Releases New HDMI Switchers
Gefen recently added two new HD video switchers to its ex-tend-it series, both designed to work with HDMI and DVI devices. Gefen supplies HDMi-to-DVI and DVI-to-HDMI adapters and cables.

The ex-tend-it 2 x 1 and the 4 x 1 HDMI switchers connect two or four HD video sources to one display. Sources are switch-controlled by the IR remote that comes with each unit. A unit can be programmed for use with a universal remote.

Switchers work with satellite set-top boxes, HD-DVDs and similar HD video sources and displays. They are also HDCP pass-through compliant.

The 2x1 HDMI switcher is currently available and the 4x1 will begin shipping in October.
