Path 1 to Demo Range of Video over IP Apps
A full lineup of broadcast-quality video over IP network applications will be demonstrated at the Path 1 booth at NAB.

The company will show its suite of video over IP gateways, the Vx8000, which uses Pro-MPEG (COP 3) standards for forward error correction. The Vx8000 carries MPEG-4 video from an external location for the fiber-optic IP network.

Other technologies that will be highlighted at NAB will include HD video over IP in sports and newsgathering applications, IP to IP conditioning for new MPEG-4 applications, an HD x 1000 - 4:2:2 MPEG-2 HD encoder/decoder integrated with a Path 1 video of IP gateway and an IP backhaul for delivering video content to teleport uplink facilities.

Additionally, live mobile TV demonstrations and expanded professional services--network design and migration consulting--will be available at the event.

Path 1 will be in Booth SU11533.
