Avid Technology, the well-known manufacturer of high-end editing products, recently launched its "Experience Avid In Motion" that will stop in five cities around the U.S. The tour promises to give the curious an in-depth opportunity to look at the latest Avid products and receive technology demos and presentations from top content creators, at no cost to the attendees.

The tour starts in Los Angeles on May 25, with presentations from Patrick Ready, COO of Pivotal Post, and Kevin Bright, executive producer of "Friends" and "Joey." The tour will continue through New York (June 1), Chicago (June 9), Miami (June 16) and wrap up in Washington on July 15. The line-up of presenters is different in each city.

The products and technologies that Avid will present in its "Experience Avid In Motion" tour represent the higher reaches of the company's editing and finishing line, including Media Composer Adrenaline, DS Nitris, Xpress Studio, Softimage XSI and the company's DNxHD encoded media process.
