IEEE Broadcast Symposium Set for October
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' Broadcast Technology Society will hold its 52nd Annual Broadcast Symposium at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C. from October 9 to 11. The theme of the symposium is "Embracing new broadcast technologies."

The convention will include two main tutorials on DTV VSB Enhancements for TV personnel and IBOC DAB for radio engineers. Two days of sessions on recent innovations in broadcasting will include 20 papers covering a range of broadcast formats and topics. The society will also provide IEEE Continuing Education Units to tutorial attendees.
