NBC Universal Renews Contract for VCI’s Orion
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.: VCI Solutions today said that NBC Universal renewed its contract with the vendor’s Orion traffic system. NBCU adopted Orion in 2000.

The Orion Business System allows the media company to manage and streamline content across their entire operation. The system was instrumental in managing NBCU content in real-time across multiple channels during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. The traffic system is also tied in with Google TV ads.

VCI’s platforms handle more than 500 channels for LIN TV, BET, CNBC, Telemundo and a host of other clients. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
