Q. What broad technology trends do you think will be front-and-centre at IBC2009?

Everything to do with 'on demand' television will be a common sight at the IBC conference, as will the showcasing of HD technology. Any new technology driven by digital delivery will take centre stage, including advances in digitisation and remote playout.
Overall, a major trend to look out for is the lowering of the technology threshold; constant advancements in the industry are making things cheaper, easier to run and with increasing functionality. Q. Any thoughts on how the current economic climate will affect the show?
The economic climate has led to an increased focus on efficiency. At IBC2009, we will see 'smarter' and more efficient ways of delivery taking on more importance because of this. Q. What's new that you will show at IBC2009 and that broadcasters should look for there?
From the DMC stand we will ingest video content created at IBC2009, which will then be transferred via the Internet back to the DMC. From there, this content will be played out to the IBC conference via satellite where it will be aired at the DMC stand. The process will demonstrate the speed and effectiveness of remote playout and digital delivery live. Q. How is your new product offering different from what's available on the market?
We specialise in multi-lingual/multi-country broadcasting in standard and high definition, playing out channels in multiple markets across Europe, the United Kingdom, Middle East, Asia and South Africa. I also believe that our advanced knowledge of digital workflow is industry-leading. Come and see our demonstration at IBC and judge for yourself! Q. Where are you based, and how many employees do you have? Anything else we should know about your company?
We are based in Amsterdam and employ around 150 people. We have been around for ten years, with the last few years seeing particularly successful growth. Q. How many years have you been going to the IBC show and what's your fondest memory? What's your favorite restaurant or pub?
Personally, I've been going for four years now and always enjoyed it. Last year, for example, I specifically remember spending a relaxing afternoon with clients and business partners, having a beer whilst watching Liverpool – Manchester United Live in HD on our stand during the organized drinks. There is, of course, a great deal of socialising in Amsterdam at the end of a busy day at the IBC conference; one of my favourite pubs is the Café Tabac, with great views of the canals, nice beer and friendly staff.
