We know he went to Harvard Law School, has impressive experience inside and outside government, and is a personal friend of Mr. Obama.
An awful lot of the news we hear involves the future of broadband, along with vague praise for his entrepreneurial spirit.
But throughout the campaign and transition, we haven’t heard a heck of a lot about television—until the bombshell proposal last week to delay the full-power analog shutoff.
On the issue of white spaces, Obama advisor (and former Genachowski boss) Reed Hundt, spoke with enthusiasm about the promise of that technology, with nary a mention about the potential interference to broadcasting.
TV Technology readers: Do you have any insight, suspicions or hope for a Genachowski FCC? Any stories from the old days? At the very least, what might change from the current Martin regime?
