IBC2008: Dalet to Intro New HD News Suite
Dalet's next-gen product, its "News Suite" for SD-HD production and playout, includes integrated media asset management and is designed mostly for news and sports production workflow. It has multichannel feed-ingest features, advanced scheduling, loop record, router control and edit-while-record capabilities.

The Paris-based firm will demo the new suite at IBC (Sept. 12-16) in Amsterdam (Booth 9.D28).

Dalet said current broadcast clients include ORT in Russia, BBC World Service, and tvOne in Indonesia.

The basic approach of the new Dalet News Suite, it said, was a fully integrated approach for managing production and playout for sports, news and magazine-type formats where, among others things, the time-sensitive ability to edit-while-recording is essential.
