Network Electronics Router Makes News at NRK
Norwegian public-services broadcaster Norsk Rikskringkasting, (NRK) has chosen a Network Electronics VikinX Modular 256-×-256 router for all its newsroom routing requirements.

NRK is deploying a state-of-the-art digital newsroom as part of its existing programming commitments and in preparation for the launch of a 24-hour news channel.

NRK required the chosen routing solution to be highly flexible, capable of handling HD/SD video and a large number of content paths and have the reliability needed for a non-stop broadcast news operation. It was also critical that the router vendor have the technical ability to ensure that the chosen router integrated with NRK's OmniBus automation and workflow engine.
