Christie Launches LX400 3LCD Projector

The feature-rich Christie LX400, a versatile XGA 4000 ANSI lumens projector with an affordable price tag, is making a debut at Christie's NAB booth #SL7912. A full value projector with no compromises, the new projector combines Christie's renowned standard for high performance and industry-leading warranties.

The Christie LX400 is a native XGA companion to the Christie LW400, the company's popular WXGA 4000 ANSI lumen projector. "The Christie LX400 shares connectivity and feature sets with our already best-in-class Christie LW400, offering Pro AV functionality at an economical price point," says Frank Anzures, product manager at Christie. "The new Christie LX400 is a premium solution customers are accustomed to seeing from Christie. We are offering products for today's cost-conscious market."

With native XGA resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the Christie LX400 is ideally suited to boardrooms, small auditoriums, conference rooms, classrooms, houses of worship and entertainment venues where bold, detailed images are required. The new projector is compact, lightweight (15.8 lbs/7.2 kg) durable and portable. It includes a sturdy integrated carrying handle and a rugged cabinet for easy transport.

Among the Christie LX400's key features are auto keystone for easy set-up, a customizable start-up screen, and Kensington(tm) style slot and security bar anti-theft devices. With scaling for up to UXGA and HD formats up to 1080p, the Christie LX400 supports compatibility with most computers and video sources. This projector's six standard inputs can accept signals from a broad range of sources. In addition, four built-in 4-watt speakers with SRS WOW(tm) audio enhancement technology helps presentations come to life.

The LX400 ships with a standard zoom lens - 1.5-1.8:1 - and features manual zoom, focus, and horizontal and vertical lens shift. A suite of four optional fixed and zoom lenses, ranging from 0.8:1 to the ultra-long 7.3:1 zoom, are also available to fit a variety of applications and room sizes. The new projector also supports Closed Captioning video (NTSC) display.

Designed for low maintenance with an easy access top-loading lamp and 2,000-hour rated filter, the Christie LX400 provides dependable performance and low cost of ownership, benefits that today are more important than ever. A built-in RJ-45 LAN connection offers network control, SNMP monitoring and programmable email product status alerts.

The Christie LX400 will ship this month.
