Vision Octane is loaded with effects, features and options. There are 8 full four keyer MLEs, 35 Full Screen HD Animation Stores, 24 channels of 3D DVE with Warp capability, 96 inputs, 48 outputs, 32 full keyers, 12 AuxKey Mixer / Keyers on the aux bus outputs, and 12 DVE key combiners, giving an unprecedented total of 56 keyers in the system.
Ideal for multi-screen, multi-destination, split feed, monitor wall intensive and 3D productions, Vision Octane allows each feed to achieve full production value without stealing resources from the main production. Combine this processing frame production power with Vision’s multi-control panel capability and collaborative productions involving more than one TD becomes easy.

CrossOver 16
Video Production Switcher
The CrossOver 16 is the latest addition to the CrossOver family of compact yet powerful production switchers that bring big switcher technology and operational feel in a cost effective package. This big brother to the CrossOver 6 and 12 is ideal for compact studios, trucks and flight packs.
The CrossOver 16 offers an expanded control panel with 16 source buttons, mneumonic displays, dedicated keyer cut and auto transition buttons, a robust 3 axis joystick, and custom control macros as well as the patent pending AI recall feature. Like the other members of the CrossOver family, the CrossOver 16 is available in both SD and HD versions with a cost effective path from SD to HD.
All CrossOver switchers feature intuitive, easy to use next transition style interfaces with full preview, the superb patented UltraChrome chroma keyer, dual animation stores, 2 channels of 2D DVE, 4 up/down converters, a compact 2RU chassis and 3 SDI, 1 down-converted analog and 3 AUX outputs. CrossOver comes with a separate control panel and rack mount video processing chassis designed to fit nicely into any typical professional installation.

OverDrive® Automated Production Control System
Ross Video will be introducing version 9.0 of the market-leading OverDrive Automated Production Control System, which includes applications for News, Sports, Worship and Live Event productions. Version 9.0 increases the power and flexibility of OverDrive with the new GlobalViewTM GUI. GlobalView leverages the additional work area offered by widescreen touch displays and features modules that can be resized or repositioned to suit operational or production requirements. User-configurable rundown columns can be positioned to highlight discrete device channel status or additional information such as newsroom system timers and shot information. GlobalView comes standard with 2 different color schemes that can be modified by the user. In addition, OverDrive v9 offers one-touch ‘creation to playout’ MOS workflows with 8 major graphics systems including the new Ross XPression system as well as a MOS ‘LiveLink’ interface to the Dalet newsroom system.
XPression 3D Character Generator and Motion Graphics System
Ross Video will showcase XPression at IBC 2009. Xpression is an all-in-one real-time 3D Character Generator and Motion Graphics System.

SoftMetal Video Servers
Ross will be showing the new 3000 Hardware platform as well as version 4.25 software at IBC 2009.
The 3000 Series is a Server Class Platform available in both Standard or Multi-Definition versions with 1x2, 0x4, 2x4 and 4x4 configurations. The 3000 Series supports up to 8 simultaneous channels in SD and up to 4 simultaneous channels in HD. It uses SATA drives and offers up to 14 TB of Media Storage in a compact 3RU.
SoftMetal v4.25 Software brings many new features to the SoftMetal Server line up. Included in this feature set are: improved MXF and QuickTime file format support, throttled FTP file transfers, slo-motion playback with field interpolation, VTR and Odetics protocols, GPI/O support and numerous other enhancements.

openGear continues to expand with more than 21 partners, an impressive portfolio offering with over 200 core processing solutions for audio, video, data and industry recognition with four prestigious awards.
New for 2009 is the addition of our new 2RU 21-slot rackframe – DFR-8321, designed for high-density conversion, fiber and distribution applications.
Ross Video is launching a 3 Gb/s Fiber line solution that compliments the existing distribution and conversion line. The Fiber line offers a range of optical / electrical conversions with unsurpassed density offering up to 40 conversions in 2RU. The Fiber line has been designed with all active components on the front module making the rear I/O passive, eliminating the need to ever access the back of the frame. In addition Ross is showcasing a new 16 channel MUX / DMX solution with optional 4 and 8 analog I/O. The new 16 channel MUX / DMX is also included in our Fiber launch with Fiber I/O available. The Ross product offering now exceeds over 100 solutions.
The Ross Video Dashboard Control System along with the frame network card has been expanded to include numerous new features that simplify setup and configuration.
The openGear platform now offers DataSafe™, a must have feature that saves all card parameters to the local frame network card. In the event of a card failure, the configuration is automatically restored to the spare on replacement, dramatically reducing downtime.
