NUCOMM LAYS OUT NEW WIRELESS OPTIONS With NAB 2008 DEBUT OF NEW CC-1 CAMERA CONTROL UNIT

Las Vegas, NV, April 2, 2008 - Nucomm, Inc., a worldwide provider of premier digital and analog video microwave systems, is broadening wireless camera control capabilities with the NAB 2008 debut of its new CC-1 Camera Control unit (Booths C3007, C6622 & OE432). Designed to work with Nucomm‘s signature CamPac 2 HD/SD COFDM camera-back transmitter, the CC-1 expands the features of the CamPac 2 through a software-based data interface that allows the CP2/CC-1 to work with various types of camera manufacturer control panels and command protocols.

The CC-1 uses the camera manufacturer‘s original remote control or operations control panel, allowing video operators to work within a seamless environment between wired and wireless cameras. In addition, the system allows users access to all of the features and menus of the original control panel. The CC-1 also offers remote control capabilities over the CamPac 2, accessing all menu driven features via a companion remote interface panel.

“In the past, using a generic control interface panel would offer only a few of the camera‘s available features to the user; however, with the CC-1, every feature that is available on the camera‘s remote panel can be utilized without limitations,” explains Nucomm Product Manager Anthony Sangiovanni. “In addition, the CC-1 allows broadcasters to remotely control the CamPac 2 transmitter, which results in cost and time efficiency during remote location set up.”

The CC-1 is available in two radio options, either a licensed 450 MHz or an unlicensed spread spectrum 900 MHz. For more information about Nucomm and its new CC-1, call 908-852-3700.
