TV Magic Engineers Master Control Solution for UABC
SAN DIEGO — March 12, 2009 — Broadcast systems integrator TV Magic today announced that it has finalized systems integration of the master control room for Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. TV Magic integrated and installed new equipment at the facilities within the School of Humanities, optimizing the operations for students' television and entertainment productions.
"The television lab in the School of Humanities was equipped with up-to-date components, but those components weren't integrated correctly within our existing system. To allow our students to take advantage of current technologies in the field of production, we needed to resolve this issue," said Claudia Becerra, communications coordinator for the television facilities at UABC. "We consulted with several vendors and integrators who did not seem to have the capacity to take on this project due to its complexity. However, we trusted TV Magic not only in the company's capacity to complete this job, but also in its unique design process. The company's approach has rendered a fully functional system for our needs as an academic institution."
The television facilities at UABC are dedicated to academic training, but the lack of available systems integrators specializing in the field of television limited, for a time, the updating and acquisition of new equipment needed to maximize the use of these facilities. TV Magic helped identify the necessary components to support optimal functionality at a very fair price point. Germán Cano, a professional consultant in charge of updating the facilities at UABC, solicited TV Magic's services for the assessment of new equipment, as well as for installation services.
"TV Magic understood our academic needs and resolved the installation of our master control room in its entirety," added Becerra. "The project was completed in a timely and organized manner, and everything is functioning appropriately at this moment."
"We are sure that we will work with TV Magic in any other future installation at our UABC television facilities," concluded Cano.
