AURALEX ACOUSTICS CREATES SONIC SAFE-HAVEN FOR B&H‘S MIC DISPLAY AT NAB 2008
LAS VEGAS, NV -- Auralex Acoustics will acoustically treat a portion of B&H‘s booth at this year‘s NAB show for a broadcast/large-diaphragm-condenser mic "shootout." Auralex, the industry leader in innovative sound control solutions, will also be showcasing several of its products as part of B&H‘s booth space (SU2905).
B&H, the world's largest retailer of Photo, Video and Pro-Audio gear, will give attendees the opportunity to try different mics in a sonic safe-haven, thanks to Auralex‘s acoustical products, amidst the roar of the NAB floor. Attendees will be able to listen to the mics via headphones throughout the show. Auralex will provide its newest Eco-Friendly StudioFoam pyramids, its Pro Banners as well as its best-selling pArtScience AudioTile‘s to the display.
Auralex‘s Eco-Friendly StudioFoam brand products now include soy components, reducing petroleum-based chemical usage by up to 60% and lessening dependence on fossil fuels, including foreign crude oil. Auralex StudioFoam is manufactured without harmful Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC‘s), which have been implicated in the depletion of the ozone layer. This greener formula helps reduce global warming emissions, yet retains the longevity and acoustical properties that Auralex is known for.
Auralex ProBanners are designed to reduce reverberation and reflection in large, noisy areas such as gymnasiums, arenas, sanctuaries, restaurants, clubs and in this case at trade shows; are available in PVC, nylon, or fabric finishes; are Class A Flame Retardant and are acoustically tested for performance in accordance with ASTM C423.
Designed by Russ Berger for Auralex Acoustics, AudioTile redefines the aesthetics of acoustical absorption. Tesselated forms present unlimited design possibilities for a sophisticated, custom appearance precisely tailored to the user‘s desired acoustical performance. Varying thickness built into each component delivers excellent broadband absorption, while the design patterns allow a unique means of blending absorption, diffusion, and reflection for optimum acoustical balance.
“Auralex Acoustics is proud to partner with B&H for its ‘mic shootout‘ display at NAB,” says Dave Paxton, director of operations for Auralex Acoustics. “Acoustical treatments are a critical yet often overlooked factor in maximizing the audio quality of any space. This opportunity further strengthens Auralex Acoustics‘ position as a vital component within this market.”
