Iroquois, ON, Canada - August 13, 2007 - Ross Video today announced the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in Israel has chosen the Ross Synergy 2 SD and Synergy 100 SD Video Production Switchers to be installed in the Sammy Ofer School of Communications.
Onset Systems Engineering will handle installation and integration of the Ross Synergy switchers, and they have been involved in a consultancy and system design capacity since the conception of the project in early 2006. The first TV production is planned for the end of August 2007 with the continuation of a second phase that includes installation of a dedicated control room for a virtual studio utilizing a Ross Synergy 100 SD switcher.
The Sammy Ofer School of Communications was established to prepare students to play an active role in the world of modern communications. The school has made every effort to create a productive and supportive learning environment that is unprecedented in Israel, so students can learn both the theory and practical skills of production across multiple media platforms. The recently completed facility includes 6,000 square meters of lecture halls and studios equipped with the world‘s most sophisticated communications and teaching technologies. Students will have access to nine studios, an entire wing of editing rooms, and computer labs.
