October 11, 2007 -- Markham, Ontario: Digital Rapids will be showcasing their latest advanced encoding solutions for live channels and VOD at the TelcoTV Conference and Expo, being held October 23-25 in Atlanta. Featured products at the Digital Rapids booth, number 349, will include the Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder, optimized for creating H.264-encoded media meeting the stringent requirements of VOD and IPTV platforms, and the StreamZ Live product line, a new family of live streaming encoders for applications from live IPTV channels to webcasting.
First announced at IBC in Amsterdam last month, the StreamZ Live product line is making its North American debut at TelcoTV. StreamZ Live delivers the proven benefits of Digital Rapids‘ award-winning StreamZ studio encoding systems in a dedicated live platform, including the robust reliability and exceptional output quality that have made StreamZ the platform of choice for leading studios, networks and facilities. StreamZ Live models are available with a choice of encoding format: VC-1, H.264, On2 VP6 for Adobe® Flash® (commonly referred to as Flash 8 Video) and MPEG-2. StreamZ Live encoders can be combined with Digital Rapids Broadcast Manager software for centralized management, control, status monitoring, scheduling, failover and alert notifications.
The Digital Rapids Studio AVC Encoder enhances the H.264 encoding capabilities of Digital Rapids StreamZ and StreamZHD encoding solutions and Transcode Manager high-volume transcoding software, delivering top encoding quality in an efficient ingest and encoding workflow. Closed Caption data can be embedded in the H.264 elementary stream, with support for EIA-608, EIA-708, SCC and SAMI, and the resulting stream multiplexed into MPEG-2 Transport Streams for delivery.
