BILLERICA, Mass. -- Aug. 14, 2007 -- Echolab Corporation, a leading provider of professional video production switchers and broadcast tools, today announced the appointment of Harrison Chang of UBS Consulting as the company's new master distributor and consultant based in Beijing, China.
Echolab has contracted with UBS for a two-year term, which went into effect July 1, 2007. Under the terms of the agreement, UBS will be sole distributor in China of all Echolab products, including the highly anticipated Ovation MD production switcher. UBS will also provide sales and marketing support for Echolab, including translation services and trade show management. Echolab will kick off its China marketing efforts by exhibiting, together with other UBS partner manufacturers, at the BIRTV 2007 show scheduled for August 22-25 in Beijing. At the show, Echolab will demonstrate its dual-format Opera video production switcher.

As co-founder and CEO of UBS Consulting, Chang is a seasoned senior executive in China's broadcasting and video industries with expertise in business planning, sales and marketing, channel development and management, and market research. Prior to founding UBS, Mr. Chang was senior business development manager for Tektronix VPL, with strategic responsibility for forming and driving new business for Tektronix in China. Prior to Tektronix, he was professional video reseller and business alliance manager for Apple China, where he was instrumental in developing Apple's Chinese video and software business.
