RTS Supports Emma TV for Children Fighting Cancer
- Emma Children’s Hospital in Amsterdam boasts its own TV studio in which programs are produced by and for children fighting cancer.
- RTS and Axon, the company’s distributor in the Netherlands, are supporting the project by making equipment and know-how available to the hospital virtually free of charge.
Straubing / Amsterdam The Department of Pediatric Oncology at Amsterdam’s Emma Children’s Hospital, which is attached to the University of Amsterdam’s Academic Medical Centre, boasts an unusual facility: a TV studio in the basement from which programs are produced by and for children suffering from cancer. RTS and Axon, the company’s distribution partner in the Netherlands, are supporting this humanitarian project by providing the children’s hospital with equipment and know-how.
Axon, RTS’ distributor in the Netherlands, has made available equipment from RTS, including a digital Cronus DSP intercom matrix and two keypanels (KP-12 and KP-32), to ensure the smooth running of the local productions. The modular structure, easy handling and numerous DSP-controlled functions offered by RTS systems contribute significantly to the quality of the programs produced by Emma TV. “Emma TV is a really wonderful project,” says Johan Lieffers of Axon. “It does something to ease the suffering of these brave children. We’re proud to be able to make a contribution.”
