RIEDEL COMMUNICATIONS PRESENTS MADI CARD FOR ARTIST DIGITAL MATRIX AT AES 2007

Riedel Communications, manufacturer of the most advanced fiber-based intercom systems available, will showcase a MADI card for its Artist digital matrix intercom platform at AES 2007.

MADI Client Card for Artist Digital Matrix Intercoms

Riedel‘s new MADI Client Card underscores the company‘s strategy to advance communications to a higher degree of integration in the broadcast studio environment. The new card provides a MADI interface that allows the tight integration of the Artist intercom platform with digital audio router systems. All Artist intercom control panels are connected to the matrix via standard AES3 signals. So instead of laying additional cables, it is now possible to connect intercom panels to the audio router using the router‘s infrastructure for panel distribution. The MADI card also furnishes a convenient solution for connecting multichannel audio between the audio router and the intercom system, saving a significant amount of cabling and interfacing costs. The MADI-108 G2 client card is cascadable, with each card adding 8 audio channels to the MADI signal up to a maximum of 64 channels. The MADI connection from the client card to the audio router occurs via COAX or fiber cabling.
