GAVIN HAVERSTICK TAKES THE LEAD IN AURALEX ACOUSTICS’ ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
LAS VEGAS, NV – Acoustical Engineer Gavin Haverstick was recently promoted to the newly created position of lead acoustical engineer at Auralex Acoustics, Inc. As a valued member of the Auralex staff since first joining the company in 2000, Haverstick started in the engineering department and later stepped into his role as Midwest regional sales manager. Haverstick will be in attendance at this year’s InfoComm show (Booth C4984) to officially introduce himself as lead acoustical engineer to the pro AV market.
In his new position, Haverstick is overseeing the research, development and testing for current and future products. His main focus lies in new product design, working in conjunction with acoustical consultants, as well as continuing to supervise large-scale projects. He is also responsible for writing technical white papers and giving presentations on Auralex’s products and acoustical theory.
“My goal now is to be a technical resource for Auralex employees, dealers as well as architects, interior designers and acoustical consultants,” says Haverstick. “After nearly eight years at Auralex, I have seen the company grow into what it is today. I look forward to many more years to come.”
Throughout his tenure at Auralex Acoustics, Haverstick has completed testing and/or acoustical analysis of over 3,000 challenging spaces including gymnasiums, houses of worship, recording studios, cafeterias, conference rooms, home theaters and industrial facilities.
Haverstick’s other professional accomplishments at Auralex include a leadership role in conducting numerous training sessions focusing on various aspects of acoustics, as well as his training of multiple staff members in various software and hardware associated with acoustical testing. As Auralex’s Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Haverstick effectively managed the company’s largest territory with consistent and significant growth each year.
Prior to joining Auralex Acoustics, Haverstick worked with Delphi Automotive, at both its Las Vegas, NV and Indianapolis, IN locations, where he oversaw quality control in the electric car R&D division. He also coordinated with upper management to streamline the reporting and tracking of various iterations of battery cells. Haverstick earned his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University with a focus in robotics.
“With Gavin’s outstanding track record at Auralex, he was a natural choice to lead our acoustical engineering department,” says Tim Martin, director of sales at Auralex Acoustics. “On behalf of the entire staff at Auralex, we are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to seeing his continued growth within the company.”
