New channel offerings make best use of Avid infrastructure for workflow and cost efficiencies

The packages make better use of the Avid infrastructure and further simplify the AmberFin iCR product proposition. This in turn enables reliable ingest for high quality content creation, as well as ingest in a live environment.
AmberFin Avid Connect makes best use of the Avid infrastructure by incorporating AmberFin iCR's unique ingest solution. The award winning iCR software provides best-in-class ingest direct to Avid storage without tying up an edit station. It enables the creation of cost effective workflows, with batch ingest and automation to create MXF wrapped DNxHD and MPEG2 directly into your Avid environments. When working with Interplay, Avid Connect even creates the assets directly into Avid bins via the Interplay interface.
Camera Connect maximizes the use of the Avid infrastructure in a live environment, using AmberFin iCR for proven live ingest reliability whilst allowing the creation of files directly into Avid storage even when editing is still taking place. AmberFin iCRs are locked to the station timecode, while live feeds are ingested directly into the shared storage. Editors can continue to work on the program while it is live to minimize wasted editing time.
