Wohler Appoints Darren Fordham Director of Business Development for Video Product Division

SAN FRANCISCO -- Dec. 17, 2007 -- PANORAMA dtv, the video products division of Wohler Technologies Inc., today announced the appointment of Darren Fordham as director of business development. Fordham joins the company with more than 25 years of industry experience. In his new position with Wohler, he will serve as a technology-oriented liaison between Wohler and its customers in the broadcast industry while also assisting with the company‘s expansion into new markets.

“Darren has held varied yet complimentary roles in the broadcast industry, and his wealth of experience and many connections will be valuable to our operations as we build our product presence in existing markets and make inroads into new verticals,” said Carl J. Fordham began his career in the broadcast industry while attending the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he was the director and technical director for the WBRC-TV evening news. He moved on to work for two major manufacturers of broadcast electronics, first as a product specialist at Sony and later as an area account manager for Grass Valley. Fordham then spent several years in the design, construction and operation of mobile broadcasting vehicles at Cross Creek Video, engineering live sporting events for ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, and FOX. He also served as a marketing product specialist for broadcast equipment at PESA (now QuStream), where he was quickly promoted to director of product development.

Fordham has held memberships in professional organizations such as the Society of Broadcast Engineering (SBE) and the Society of Motion Picture Television Engineering (SMPTE). He is also affiliated with the Sports Video Group (SVG). Fordham is based out of Huntsville, Ala.
