AV2000 HD/SDI MultiMedia Cabling combines audio, high-definition video, serial digital interface, data and control signals through a single sophisticated hybrid connector that replaces many individual connectors. This single connector solution simplifies set up, eliminates mis-plugging and increases system reliability.
Components are configured to match customers‘ needs and are customized with specific cable types, lengths and tail terminations. These three simple components - Access Points, Umbilicals and Links - make integration simple.
Access Points are typically mounted on gang, rack, or wall panels, terminated with individual cables for connection directly to system components. Access Points can be easily retrofitted into existing systems. AV2000 Umbilicals are flex-wrapped cable assemblies terminated on each end with a single hybrid line type AV2000 connector; the other end of the cable assembly is equipped with a connectorized fan out. Links are flex-wrapped cable assembly terminated on each end with line type hybrid connectors. Links are designed to connect between two Access Points or they can be used as extensions with AV2000 Umbilicals for added system flexibility.

AV2000 HD/SDI MultiMedia Cabling features rugged cast metal housing that incorporates a strong cable retention design. Connectors are equipped with high-quality materials designed to prevent degeneration of signals. Cables are safely enclosed in a nylon mesh jacket to prevent damage from tangling.
Sixteen gauge contacts, used for audio, data and control signals, are precision formed brass pin and socket contacts with a proprietary gold plating. To allow for use with a wide range of coaxial cables, different size coaxial contacts are available. Three hundred and sixty degree clamping prevents strain transferring to the contacts inside the housing, ensuring that each assembly is durable and reliable. Mating entry is close-ended to prevent damage from stubbing due to misalignment.
