Algolith Announces “One Price, One Platform, More Choices” Program

A New, Flexible Product and Pricing Model for the Broadcast Industry

Montreal, Canada, September 12, 2008 — Algolith Inc. has announced its One Price, One Platform, More Choices program which is designed to deliver unparalleled power and flexibility to broadcasters leveraging the Algogear™ solution. The program lowers the cost of all Algogear applications to one simple price of $5995.00 USD. It also gives the customer the power to switch the Algogear hardware to any of the supported applications as their requirements grow or change. Algolith is effectively delivering all of their applications with every Algogear card, simplifying their customer’s choices, and giving them the flexibility to reconfigure complex solutions as their requirements change. The One Price, One Platform, More Choices program is a new and revolutionary concept in the broadcast industry where solutions have traditionally been built for a single specific function and cannot be repurposed.

The quickly evolving Algogear series now includes Downconversion and Line Delay applications, in addition to the existing Noise Reduction, Upconversion and Frame Synchronization applications, making this the most cost effective flexible, modular and future proof offering on the market today.

“All of our applications are best in class and competitive in their own right, but we felt that the One Price, One Platform, More Choices program gave our customers unique and valuable flexibility that will help them manage transitions in the years to come.,” said Yvan Ouellet president and CEO of Algolith Inc. “One Price, One Platform, More Choices is designed to be simple, and cost effective, while delivering unparalleled flexibility to our broadcast customers.”

The Algogear Series

The FPGA-based Algogear series card features a reprogrammable core, allowing customers the flexibility to repurpose the functionality of the cards on an as needed basis. The cards are designed specifically for the openGear frame and controlled by the easy-to-use DashBoard software. The 2RU openGear frame allows users the additional flexibility to choose from over one hundred solutions from many vendors, and can house a mix of analog, digital, video and audio modules in the same frame; giving broadcast professionals additional flexibility along with the freedom to choose the best solution for their specific application.
