Jeff Goodman Joins Fairlight US
FairlightUS, a leading provider of digital media creation tools for audio post, broadcast and music production applications, announces the appointment of Jeff Goodman as National Sales Manager. Goodman brings over 25 years of professional audio engineering, product knowledge, and sales experience to his new position with FairlightUS.
Goodman will manage Fairlight’s existing U.S. sales force, and spearhead the continuing expansion of the brand domestically, working closely with President Steve Rance, from their Southern California headquarters.
“Since the mid-1970s, Fairlight has been at the forefront of digital audio development,” says Goodman, “and as an engineer who has worked in and around studios for the bulk of my career, I’ve been fortunate to have hands-on experience using many of Fairlight’s innovative product offerings. I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of the future of one of the most prestigious and revered industry leaders.”
Prior to joining FairlightUS, Goodman held appointments with several high-profile audio manufacturers including, most recently, West Coast Sales Manager/Product Specialist for Tonelux, where he was responsible for developing key sales, product installation, design and training in the Western U.S. As an independent consultant with Loud Technologies, Goodman worked specifically with the Mackie Digital X Bus mixing console, and additionally, served as a product consultant for both AMS Neve and Otari Corporation.
Goodman got his start as an independent recording engineer and consultant on projects with artists including Sting, Janet Jackson, Mel Torme and Sly Stone. As the Founder and Chief Engineer at Firestation Recorders, a 24-track music and audio-for-video facility, he recorded and mixed numerous albums, working with Lenny Kravitz and Dr. Dre. He was awarded a Gold record for his work with Kravitz on the album, "Let Love Rule". Goodman is also the recipient of a prestigious 1999 Emmy Honor Award for ‘Contributions to the Emmy Award Winning Achievement’ for ‘Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Or Music Series Or A Special’ at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards.
