Ross Video to Launch SoftMetal Video Server V4.0 Software at IBC 2008
Iroquois, ON, Canada – September 5, 2008 – Ross Video is launching SoftMetal Version 4.0 software during IBC 2008 at Stand 9.D30. Version 4.0 will begin shipping after IBC, and will be available at no charge to all current SoftMetal customers.
Summary of key new features in SoftMetal version 4.0 software:
• MXF Native Record and Playback Support for HD and SD Clips
• QuickTime Native SD Playout
• Close Captioning Support
• Embedded Audio Support, 16 Channels per video input and output
• Stereoscopic (3D) Record and Playback
