Utah Scientific Appoints Industry Veteran as Director of Sales Operations
SALT LAKE CITY -- Nov. 7, 2007 -- Utah Scientific, a leading manufacturer of routing switchers and related products for the broadcast industry, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Steve Monsen as director of sales operations. Monsen will work directly with Tom Harmon, Utah Scientific‘s president, to enhance and streamline the sales process, providing support to the regional sales managers as well as directly to customers.
“Utah Scientific‘s reputation for providing reliable products and service to customers is outstanding, and it only gets better,” said Monsen. “I am pleased to be associating myself with a company that combines forward-looking technology with old-fashioned integrity.”
Monsen comes to Utah Scientific after six years at Chyron, where he had direct and dealer sales responsibilities for the broadcast, business, and government markets in nine states as well as western Canada. Prior to joining Chyron, Monsen was a product manager for two lines at Philips Broadcast, where his responsibilities included forecasting, marketing, sales training, and working directly with customers to support product improvements. Working for Triax Alpine early in his career, Monsen was instrumental in building two of the first UHF stations in Nigeria.
“Steve‘s extensive experience, market knowledge, and understanding of the industry will help us fulfill our ongoing commitment to building long-term relationships with current customers and cementing our relationships with new ones,” said Harmon. “He is a great addition to our team.”
Monsen is based at Utah Scientific‘s Salt Lake City headquarters.
