INDIANAPOLIS, IN, FEBRUARY 20, 2008 -- Auralex has become the go-to manufacturer for acoustical treatments on ABC‘s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. In each episode, the Makeover team undertakes the monumental task of completely rebuilding a family‘s home in a one-week timeframe. This episode marks the third time Auralex is involved in an acoustical renovation on the show.
Patrick, a young college student at the University of Kentucky in Louisville, was born with several sever deformities and handicaps, though he is an accomplished trumpet player in the University‘s marching band. Auralex Acoustics donated several of its 2” acoustic StudioFoam Pyramids for Patrick‘s room, giving him a more controlled sound practicing environment while preventing the sound from traveling throughout the rest of the house. The 2" acoustic Studiofoam Pyramids are frequently used to treat small - to medium-sized areas to reduce standing waves and flutter echoes.
