Products Being Highlighted at GVExpo 2007:
Opera 16x16 Production Switcher -- The popular Opera multiformat switcher‘s 16-input chassis provides simultaneous outputs of 16 SDI, eight composite analog, and four component analog signal channels, allowing greater production flexibility and allocation of clean feeds and aux M/E outputs. Among the advanced features available for the Opera production switcher are a new “floating” internal frame synchronization and storage options for every input. This powerful option eliminates the need for genlocked sources and external A-to-D converters, simplifying installation and significantly reducing overall system costs. Introduced earlier this year, a new FX pack adds DVEs, linear and chroma keyers, and extended clean-feed and DSK functions.
Ovation MD -- Echolab‘s Ovation MD series is designed to be extensible and powerful for fast-paced live video productions. The Ovation MD multiformat video processing hub helps ease the transition to HD video production while supporting SD video formats. Like all Echolab switchers, each switcher in the Ovation product line provides full-function keyers on each M/E, along with downstream keyers and flexible opportunities for partner product control. With the ability to store images and load them into frame buffers with alpha channel support, users can bring lower-thirds and full-screen graphics to life.
Overture 2 -- The powerful new Overture 2-M/E control surface includes all of the operational features found in the award-winning Opera 1-M/E series and incorporates a variety of new features. New in Overture 2 are a look-ahead preview, which gives the operator the ability to preview a transition before taking it to air; a complete set of transition options in which the “take” block features the standard “mix” and “wipe” transitions along with a new “DVE” and “dip to” transition and fade-to-black function; programmable macros keys, with each M/E block loaded with five programmable macro keys that can be used to trigger any sequence of events; traditional DSKs; and a dedicated playback block that enables automated control of third-party products directly from the control panel.
Conductor -- The Conductor represents a redesign of the popular Echolab Commander system used for sequence programming and management, as well as third-party product and machine controls. Overhauled to eliminate the need for dedicated servers, the next-generation Conductor features a powerful touch screen control panel with a Windows®-based application. The Conductor delivers essential control over CGs, VTRs, DDRs, and effects sequences.
