ExaRAID HD Solution for Full HD Video
For the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas April 20-23, 2009, Arena Maxtronic Inc. in Booth SL8305 will be showcasing the NEW ExaRAID HD SAN Solution.
ExaSAN solution was developed to Simplify and Optimize storage management in the Broadcasting and Post Production environment. With its High Stability, High Bandwidth, and High Flexibility features, ExaSAN helps increase efficiency throughout any video editing workflow process.
ExaSAN’s high flexibility and incomparable high bandwidth, can be demonstrated by setting up a Gen1 and a Gen 2 ExaSAN Switch, connected to a pair of 16-Bay ExaRAID HD enclosure’s. Using 3 Apple Mac Pro’s with Final Cut Pro installed along with a fourth MacPro acting as a metadata controller, We are able to playback 8 streams of uncompressed 1080p 422 10 bit footage simultaneously.
When 2K and/or 4K Video come into play, each stream would need even more bandwidth and a very stable throughput, to playback without drop frames, to meet this criteria, the industry current practice is to convert the 2K/4K video footage into Standard Definition, or some form of compressed HD and supply that footage to the editors. When adding up the time and effort for all the conversion processes, it reduces the efficiency of the workflow and therefore the production. Using ExaRAID HD you no longer need to work in compressed or low resolution footage.
Now, with the 20Gb high Bandwidth ExaRAID HD from Arena, You can get up to 1400MB/sec of stable throughput.
There is also a 4U 24 Bay Dual Independent controller ExaRAID HD that when direct attached to a MacPro utilizing Final Cut Pro can run multi streams of 2K HD video simultaneously.
With the new ExaRAID HD series from Arena, anyone can now have a highly efficiency, stable and an economical solution, be it 2 or more editors or a whole TV station production environment. We have a solution for you.
