121ST AES broadcast events program revealed
AES executive director Roger Furness has announced the broadcast events calendar for the upcoming convention in San Francisco, Oct. 5-8, 2006. For the 18th consecutive year, industry expert panelists will provide a comprehensive program addressing both emerging and long-standing audio technology issues.
According to broadcast events director David Bialik, programming of particular interest to broadcasters will include panel discussions on innovations in digital audio, surround sound for digital radio and broadcasting in the IP age. Broadcast Engineering editor Brad Dick will moderate a panel on audio for HDTV — the lip sync issue. Additional broadcast program topics will include 5.1 surround for radio, facility design, audio transport design and additional HD panels.
