Advent Communications has unveiled an enhanced version of its 1.5m and 1.8m NewSwift antenna to support high-power C- and Ku-band RF and HD requirements.
The enhanced NewSwift antenna offers a larger electronics pod that will enable it to accommodate a pair of 400W C- or Ku-band TWTAs, as 1+1 phase combined or 1:1 redundant pairs; a 1:1 redundant pair of 750W C- or Ku-band TWTAs; or a 1:1 redundant pair of outdoor SSPAs. The compact, lightweight NewSwift is designed to meet the operational requirements of the antenna and vehicle onto which it will be mounted.
Advent Communications plans to offer a follow-on enhancement for 1.5m and 1.8m NewSwift antennas, a new feedarm and interchangeable multiband feed cartridge assemblies that will let users quickly change the antenna operating frequency.
