Apace Systems launches collaborative video editing with global reach
Apace Systems is spotlighting its newly launched ViEW system platform, an end-to-end workflow for remote collaborative video editing on a global scale, at IBC2008.
With ViEW, the editing workflow can be completely virtualized beyond physical locations. From anywhere in the world, media editors can edit and access each other’s content, expediting the process of ingesting, editing and collaborative communication. With a simple browser over the Internet or via VPN, a rough cut of raw video can be easily edited online and presented to target audiences instantly.
The product allows editors to communicate, edit and cut at the time code level on raw and proxy footage using a backend database that manages collaborative video editing processes between different remote editing locations globally. A director, from the field, can directly access and offer editing instructions at the video clip and time code level.
