Audio-Technica is introducing the AT2020 USB cardioid condenser microphone, suitable for the digital capture of music or any acoustic audio source using most recording software. Highlights for the Mac- and Windows-compatible mic include a USB digital output, low self-noise and extended frequency response.
Based on the AT2020 and featuring a low-mass diaphragm, the AT2020 USB is a side-address condenser model that offers the performance advantages of a high-quality studio microphone with a USB interface, according to the company. It has a fixed cardioid polar pattern to allow isolation of the desired sound source.
The AT2020 USB is powered from a USB bus and includes a tripod desk stand, stand mount, USB cable and soft, protective carrying pouch.
