AT&T, Samsung unveil video sharing capabilities of multimedia sliding phone
AT&T and Samsung last week announced the availability of the Samsung SGH-a737, an ultrathin sliding phone with enhanced multimedia and entertainment features, including AT&T’s Video Share service.
In addition, the Samsung SGH-a737 features AT&T’s Mobile Music services, stereo Bluetooth 2.0 technology, a 1.3-megapixel camera with video record, external-memory microSD cards with up to 4GB of storage and advanced messaging options. The sliding design allows for a larger screen, better facilitating Video Share calling, browsing and reviewing photos. The phone also gives users 3G connectivity to AT&T’s Broadband Connect Network in more than 170 large metropolitan areas across the United States.
AT&T’s Video Share service allows users to share one-way live video participating in a voice call. Both customers must be in an area served by the company’s 3G network and have a Video Share-enabled phone, such as the Samsung SGH-a737.
