Audio-Technica Exhibits New Stereo Monitor Headphones at NAB
Audio-Technica is displaying the new ATH-M35 Dynamic Stereo Monitor Headphones at the NAB Show. The company is also showcasing three shotgun microphones and stereo microphones.
ATH-M35 Dynamic Stereo Monitor Headphones
The ATH-M35’s employ a low-profile, closed-back design. Extremely accurate, the headphones feature a neodymium magnet structure and have a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz. The ATH-M35’s also have a lightweight and adjustable cushioned headband to provide maximum listening comfort.
Audio-Technica is also showing three shotgun microphones: the BP4071, BP4071L and BP4073 Line + Gradient Condenser models. These high-performance mics are designed for critical extended-range pickup in broadcasting, film/TV production and theater sound reinforcement applications. All three of these mics offer a transformerless design for improved pickup of transients; an extended frequency response; a rugged, lightweight housing; and an integral 150 Hz high pass filter, providing easy switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off.
The BP4071 is 15.55-inch long and performs consistently in distant miking applications and under the stringent demands of digital recording systems. At 21.22-inches long, the BP4071L boasts an extremely narrow polar pattern and excellent rejection from the sides and rear of the microphone, along with crisp, intelligible audio reproduction for long-distance pickup. The BP4073 has an overall length of 9.17 inches and weighs 3.5 ounces. Additionally, because the BP4073 is shorter than most typical shotgun microphones, it is particularly ideal for use in ENG and field production applications where a more compact camera may be employed.

The company will also showcase the AT8022 X/Y Stereo Microphone and the BP4025 X/Y Stereo Field Recording Microphone. The AT8022 is designed for use with either consumer or professional gear, while the BP4025 is best suited for professional use.
Both the AT8022 and the BP4025 are ruggedly constructed to protect against damage from day-to-day use during field recording. The microphones are also fully RoHS-compliant. Each mic offers an 80 Hz high-pass filter for easy switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off. Each comes equipped with a professional stand clamp, a windscreen and a soft, protective pouch.
The AT4021 cardioid and AT4022 omnidirectional pencil condenser microphones are also on display, as well as the AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone and AT2050 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone.
Audio-Technica is exhibiting at booth N2121.
