Autoscript will provide operational English and Arabic teleprompting support and technology for BBC World Service's new BBC Arabic TV news and information channel scheduled to launch this fall.
Two prompting specialists will be provided 13 hours a day, 365 days a year, at two studios at the newly refurbished BBC Broadcasting House in London. The installation will use the latest systems available from Autoscript, including 17in on-air monitors and ClockPlus, an LED SMPTE/EBU time code display.
One studio will use Autoscript's RAT (receive and transmit) wireless scroll, which allows a presenter to move around a studio and control the speed of the prompted text. Autoscript will also provide a wireless Opto foot control, a potless scroll that offers maximum precision for script control.
