Avid Execs to Keynote NAB
Avid Technology's CEO, David Krall, and vice president/chief technology officer Mike Rockwell, will keynote an NAB2005 Super Session on HD production. The session will also look at copy protection and digital rights management.
Krall's Super Session keynote, "Look Before You Leap: The Dollars and Sense of Transitioning to HD," will outline the "before and after" of incorporating HD into the content-creation process and include the leading technologies that are part of the transition.
Adi Kishore, senior analyst, Media & Entertainment Strategies, Yankee Group, will moderate the session on Tuesday, April 19 at 3:45 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room S222.
Panelists Billy Baldwin, president, PostWorks New York, Andy King, head of Capital Development, BBC Resources, Roger Ogden, senior vice president, Gannett Television and Gavin Schultz, executive vice president/CTO, Ascent Media Group, will add their industry knowledge to the discussion.
Rockwell will discuss protection of intellectual property in his presentation, "The Download on Digital Rights Management," Monday, April 18 at 3:45 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room S221.
Following Rockwell's presentation, moderator, Bill Rosenblatt, president, GiantSteps Media Technology Strategies will lead a session on digital rights management (DRM).
Christopher Cookson, president, Warner Bros. Technical Operations/CTO, Brad Hunt, senior vice president/CTO, MPAA and Martha Nalebluff, director of policy and strategy, Microsoft Media/Entertainment Technology & Convergence Group will participate in the panel discussion.
On the NAB convention floor, Avid will be in Booth SL600.
