AVS used MRC Link wireless camera system for X Games 13
Aerial Video Systems (AVS) in Burbank, CA, used Link XP wireless camera systems supplied by Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) for coverage of ESPN's X Games 13 last month in Carlson, CA.
The Link XP is a lightweight camera-back transmitter that installs on professional cameras using standard battery mounts from Anton Bauer, IDX or PAG battery systems. MRC, Link's sister company, is the sole distributor of the Link product line within the Americas.
The diversity receive portion of the system, the Link L2104, provides a robust error-free signal even under challenging conditions. The system is flexible and can be configured for diversity configurations from two or four antennas.
AVS, working with MRC, used Link XP wireless transmitters to cover Skateboard Big Air, Motocross Best Trick and the Motorcross Step Up events at the Staples Center. The Link XP systems also were used to cover SuperMoto, women's and men's skateboarding, amateur skateboarding and freestyle motocross elimination.
