Blackmagic Releases Decklink 4.7 for Mac
The Decklink 4.7 for Mac OS by Blackmagic Design is now available.
The new version includes Varicam capture and overcranking support on DeckLink HD models. In Final Cut Pro and Blackmagic Desk Control, 720p Easy Setups have been added, with speeds of 24, 25 and 30 Hz. For a slow-motion effect, users can record Varicam footage at 59.94 or 60 fps and playback by Decklink HD cards at a slower frame rate.
This software update also includes hardware-based HD downconverter on DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 models. Users can perform hardware downconversion HDTV 1080 material in 8-bit, 10-bit, PhotoJPEG or DVCPro HD formats. Additionally, users can downconvert in desktop mode when the frame rate is set to 25 or 29.97 fps.
The update includes composite NTSC/PAL output available on DeckLink HD Pro dual link models. Also, the software supports simultaneous SD and HD in 25 and 29.97 fps. Decklink cards now perform HDTV to Anamorphic SDTV downconversion.
DeckLink HD Pro is available in two models, DeckLink HD Pro single link 4:2:2 and dual link RGB 4:4:4.
