BMS Launches Truck-Coder II
Digital microwave equipment provider BMS launched its Truck-Coder II. The Truck-Coder II interfaces with an HD Encoder and was installed in a live news van from E-N-G Mobile Systems. The news van is hitting the road on a western tour of the United States.
The first stop on the tour was at the regional Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) in Seattle.
The news van will make stops in Phoenix and Dallas at later SBE shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Working with JVC and BMS, the ENG van uses the JVC DM-JV600U encoder and DM-D4600 decoder that work with the BMS Truck-Coder II COFDM transmitter and DeCoder II IRD.
"All BMS digital transmitters and receivers have the same flexibility allowing future growth to HDTV for digital for ENG," said David Ayotte, BMS sales manager.
