BTX Technologies’ new connector eliminates soldering
BTX Technologies has introduced an addition to the MaxBlox family of connectors, the CA-MX35. Requiring a standard, half-inch D-style punch, the new stereo audio connector eliminates the need for soldering and fits into panels up to 1/4in thick.
Optimized for use in computer audio, A/V, home theater, broadcast and data system applications, the CA-MX35 is a 3.5mm stereo mini female-to-terminal block connector with nut/washer-to-rear mount in a plate or panel. Clearly labeled terminal blocks on the back of the new connector take the place of solder tabs, allowing installers to terminate it with a screwdriver. The connector fits in a standard 1/2in D-style punch, eliminating the need for custom-made plates or panels to house it.
