Buckeye Cable Systems chooses Terayon
Buckeye Cable Systems has launched a series of new digital video services that are made possible due to the installation of on-demand content technology from Terayon Communication Systems.
Buckeye, which services 150,000 subscribers in northwestern Ohio and southeastern Michigan, is using Terayon video applications for digital program insertion, zoned advertising insertion, and other processes that leverage rate shaping and statistical remultiplexing capabilities to deliver more personalized content.
The applications run on the Terayon DM 6400 Network CherryPicker, the company’s flagship digital video processing system. In addition, Buckeye has upgraded its network to a digital simulcast architecture using the Terayon CP 7600G edge decoder.
