China’s i-Vision launches latest CMMB software, interactive applications
Beijing-based i-Vision is partnering with Intel to deliver the i-Vision Player, a Linux-based commercial CMMB multimedia player, on Aigo’s and Lenovo’s newly launched mobile Internet devices.
At a press conference, i-Vision demonstrated its interactive TV applications for live broadcast TV channels, program guides, video on demand, video recording, video community, and information browsing on ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs) and Netbooks. This latest CMMB player is part of i-Vision’s effort to establish a new media platform that crosses networks and technology standards.
The company’s standards-agnostic MoTi-MoTi System supplies an integrated, end-to-end physical layer mobile TV operation platform. The system connects mobile broadcast with telecommunication networks and is compliant with CMMB, streaming TV and major mobile TV formats.
