Clark finds success with new digital cable
Clark Wire & Cable is now offering an extended distance, precision video cable that incorporates a gas-injected foam dielectric, a foil and a 95 percent tinned copper braid for effective broadband shielding.
The addition of the new cable rounds out an already extensive line of digital coax cable products and accessories from the company. The RG11-HD brings the number of digitally rated cables the company offers to 11.
In the digital realm, signals extend to hundreds of megabits so there is little room for error. The RG11-HD cable has been designed to meet the demands for longer signal distribution distances as well as error-free transmission. It provides a nominal velocity of propagation of 83 percent, according to Clark, where a high velocity of propagation and high frequency response are extremely important.
The company said it had sold miles of the RG11-HD cable, even before it had a chance to release it.
